Fiverr – An Overview
Fiverr is a well-known freelance service marketplace that helps business owners find the ideal freelance services for their business.
It works as a connecting link between employers and freelancers. As an employer, you can search through the jobs listed by sellers called gigs.
Another option available is to list your project so that freelancers can approach you to help you with your marketing efforts.
Spanning over more than 200 categories, around 830,000 freelancers are offering numerous gigs on this platform. Employers can have access to a large pool of accomplished freelancers.
If you are a freelancer, you can join this market place as a seller. All you need to do is to register with Fiverr.
A profile needs to be created and state what services you can offer. If you create an appealing profile, you can wait for the orders from buyers.
Does this crowd-sourcing platform live up to the expectations of employers? What about the satisfaction level of freelancers?
Do they get paid handsomely? This Fiverr review takes a close look at all these aspects honestly.
The Good And The Bad

2) Fast response time
3) Secure payment gateways
4) A wide range of product categories and customized multiple search options
5) Safe and private communication opportunities for buyers and sellers
Cons
1) The presence of fake and paid reviews of sellers can mislead buyers
2) There is no set standard for the quality of work
3) It is not easy for beginners to get buyers
Who is Fiverr For?
Our Fiverr review finds that this platform is for all employers or business people who are aged 18 and above and wants to discover freelancers to fulfill their marketing efforts and business needs.
👉👉The Fiverr Experience👈👈
Any freelancer, who is over the age of 18 years old and interested in earning supplemental income online, can also use this crowd-sourcing platform.
Fiverr – Tools and Training
This online freelance marketplace offers products and services in 12 different major categories including:
1) Graphics and Design
2) Writing and Translation
3) Music and Audio
4) Video and Animation
5) Digital Marketing
6) Lifestyle
7) Business
8) Programming and Technical
This quarter alone, Fiverr has added 30 new categories to include, self-publishing, podcast and real estate services, audio books productions, and language lessons, to name just a few.
This Fiverr review finds that each category is classified into many subcategories. Employers or buyers can search through these subcategories to find a suitable niche. They are also allowed to search for specific keywords.
The basic price of a freelancer is $5. Experienced freelancers always ask for a higher price from buyers.
👉👉Different Seller Levels👈👈
Buyers can find four different types of sellers on Fiverr including New Sellers, Level One Sellers, Level Two Sellers, and Top-Rated Seller.
New Seller
It is the basic level of a freelancer. All inexperienced writers are given this status.
Level One Seller
As a seller, you can reach this level after 60 days. If you can manage to complete at least 10 gigs with a high level of satisfaction, you will be promoted as a level one seller.
Level Two Seller
If you are a freelancer who has been working for 120 days and have completed 50 highly-rated projects timely, you can achieve the level two seller status.
Top-Rated Seller
All top-rated sellers are those freelancers who have been working on Fiverr for at least 180 days. You need to complete more than 100 orders to qualify for this seller level.
The total earning must be at least $20,000.
Buyers can go through these ratings of the sellers before choosing one based on their needs and budget.
Fiverr – Customer Service
There are two points of contact for customers; namely, email and submitting a request ticket through the Buyer/Seller Help Center.
The response time is reasonably faster. However, you cannot always expect convincing answers all the time.
The Help Center area contains advice, step-by-step tutorials, instructional videos, and blogs. These resources offer you probably the best answers to your questions.
My Fiverr review advises buyers and sellers to use customer support as a last resort.
Fiverr – Price
Employers (buyers) and freelancers (sellers) can join this online marketplace without paying any registration fee. When a service is purchased from a freelancer, buyers need to make a payment.
All payments need to be submitted upfront and held in escrow. The payment is transferred to the freelancer when a project is approved by the employer.
My Final Opinion of Fiverr
The fact that more than 830,000 freelancers are working on this platform shows it is a reasonably good platform to work with.
The ease of use is a major attraction. Anyone can sell on this platform without worrying about complex technical know-how.
It is not easy for beginners to get buyers on Fiverr. You need to get promoted to higher seller categories to generate income consistently.
Buyers can choose a writer easily using advanced search filters. However, you need to be more conscious about the fake and paid reviews.
One last note with regards to my opinion of Fiverr. Although it’s is a very good way to supplement your income, it is not among the highest ranked marketplace services.
Just be cautious with any business dealings you may have with them or any other lower ranked marketplace service or product.
Fiverr Is Legitimate
According to this Fiverr review, it is not a scam. Fiverr is a very popular platform that works as a connecting link between freelancers (sellers) and employers (buyers).
Freelancers have to improve their ranking to get projects from employers consistently. Employers can choose top-rated freelancers to get excellent results.
