This is definitely something we need to talk about more. Sometimes fixed income is incredibly hard to increase and the location we are living in doesn’t allow for us to live a good lifestyle. However, what about those that cannot just get up and go to another state. How do you get past about talking with family, leaving friends behind, etc. thanks
I am not from US but I do know people who live in my town with fixed income, I am particularly referring here the senior citizens who have no regular income in form of a remuneration or salary. They have to make their ends meet with interest income from bonds and are forced to be frugal in their living. When I look at them, somewhere I feel the importance of large retirement kitty or second passive income – Living frugal is nice, but then you have to make a lot of sacrifices / compromises which can be depressing. Thanks for doing the research and sharing the 5 best places to live with fixed income.
I want to apologize for my late response to your comment. For some reason I was having difficulties replying to comments here in WordPress.
Let’s hope it has cleared up. I would like to thank you for you patience and for taking the time to read and comment on my article. Let me say this. Here in the US it is not just senior citizens who live on fixed incomes. It is disable veterans like myself, other individuals with disabilities and those whose employers don’t pay a fair wage that is compatible to the cost of living. My website has many other articles which educate individuals on how to earn an additional income stream.

Living on a fixed income does not just affect senior citizens in the US. Others are affected as well; such as disabled Veterans, other disabled individuals and those whose employers do not pay an adequate salary.
My website is filled with ways for fixed income folks to find online supplemental income streams and also teaches them ways to avoid online scams.
You can read more about these at www. livingonleanmeans.net.

I truly understand and appreciate your concerns about not being in a position to make a move to an affordable location where you can live more comfortably.
First I have to say that l am currently in the same situation. This is mainly the reason I built this website~~to educate people in my situation on how to create different kinds of online income streams to supplement their current income.
An additional income stream can help many folks devise and put Iplace a plan to make a move to a more affordable area where their income will go further than if they stayed out in an area that was considered high cost.
When the time comes to move, you have to make the sacrifice to be away from family and friends in order to make a better life for yourself and your family.
Living in an area where the cost of living is less affords you to take vacations to visit family and friends wherever you desire.
Living on a fixed income and in a high cost of living area doesn’t give a much opportunity to travel or take vacations.
My son and I have made such a plan to leave the state we are in because we are both tired of making every penny stretch. We want to live in a state where our income works for us and not against us.
Please take a few minutes to check out more of the articles in my site. I’m very certain you will learn a great deal.
